DISPOSING OF NEOSHO CLASS OILERS

On April 10, 2010 there will be a meeting to promote placing one or all three of the remaining AO-143 Class Navy Oilers into the Pacific Ocean, along the California Coast as underwater reefs. California Ships To Reefs will make a one hour presentation to 20 – 143 Oiler Veterans.

  1. Being a sailor of the USS Kawishiwi AO-146 I strongly endorse the prospect of using her for a museum. Kawishiwi has great historical signifigance as the many pages on her can attest. The public should be able to have access to something that contributed greatly to our country!
